The Sprague Olympian girls basketball team beat McKay 55-29 on Friday night at Sprague High School.
With the win the Oly’s improve to 7-8 on the season and 2-6 in the Greater Valley Conference.
The Oly’s jumped out to a 10 point lead after the first quater, after a back and forth second quarter the Oly’s lead 27-18 at the half.
McKay scored the first 5 points of the 2nd half to cut the Oly lead to 4 points. The Oly’s responded by scoring 10 straight points to make the score 37-23. Four different Oly’s scored in the 10-0 run including two buckets by senior Kat Olson.
After a McKay bucket with just over a minute left in the 3rd quarter junior Quincy Beyrouty hit a part of 3 pointers, the first on an assist from freshman Abby Hass, the second with an assist from senior Taryn Simons to stretch the Oly’s lead 43-25 headed into the final quarter.
The Oly’s were lead in scoring by senior Natalie Bock and Beyrouty, each with 14. Senior Abby McFetridge added 8 points and 4 rebounds. The Oly’s outrebounded the Scots 26-18, senior Becky Harmon lead the Oly’s with 6 rebounds.

The Oly’s have a pair of road conference games this week, Tuesday at West Albany and Friday at McNary.
